RMSugarfoot's Journal, 31 May 2016

My taste buds and my appetite appears to be a bit wonky since my surgery. Three bites of something and I'm full. Sounds great, but it can cause my glucose levels to drop and that gets scary.

My weight loss and new meds has my glucose levels dropping a lot, so I've started drinking a glass of milk or eating some crackers with peanut butter before bed to prevent drops in the middle of the night.

Weighed in at my Doctor today and at home and the mystery is solved. His scales are on carpeting and the nurse said they weigh 3 to 5 pounds heavy. So I will be going by my scales at home and only at home from now on.

You would think the doctors office would try to make sure the readings are accurate!

When I went in, I said, I just weighed myself at home and I want to weigh here to see what your scales say. That's when she told me that their scales usually weigh five pounds heavy because it is on carpeting. Their scales said I weighed 219. When I got home, I weighed again and it said 216.4.

It's most accurate if you weigh yourself in the morning right wen you get up right after you use the bathroom

It's not as accurate if you weigh yourself after eating or drinking

How unfair for a doctors office scale to weigh 3-5 lbs heavy! LOL They should fix that.

I think that happens in a lot of dr. offices that the scales just weigh heavier.
