I hate my depression! I am not giving up, please understand that... I have come a long way in well really a short time- by the time my next doctor's appointment and if I continue to lose the way that I am losing, I would lose about 100 lbs in 6 months. I have already lost 77 lbs-- so why am I so down. The clouds are rolling in, the room is dark, bout as dark as my soul feels right now.
The feeling of "meaningless, meaningless, everything is meaningless!"
Sorry not a great uplifting post.. I know.. and like I said.. I hate this...

Thank you for sharing your personal feelings. I am new to here but it is nice to see that all posts are not sugar coated. Depression does not discriminate by what size jeans you wear. Take a step back, google some inspiration poetry, watch some funny baby videos on youtube or just take a bubble bath. Do whatever will make you smile, breath, and refocus. You got this!!

What is one thing you can do to make you feel accomplished? Is it cleaning out the kitchen sink? Making just one meal plan? Putting on your tennis shoes and walking around the house for 10 minutes? It may not sound like a lot, it may not sound like enough...but once you've accomplished one thing think of the next thing. After a while you'll start to perk up a little. There is meaning...we don't have to know what it is...we just need to walk on through until the meaning is clear. Please let me know how you're doing.

You need to take a break for a week and relax and enjoy your life. Continue on after you relax awhile. You have done an excellent job. Don't be hard on yourself. Treat yourself to a manicure and a pedicure, to help lift your spirits.

Hoosier - you have really accomplished a lot in a short time - far from meaningless, your diligence is an inspiration to others who read your posts. Hope this dark feeling passes quickly.

I also agree with C ~ sometimes the best thing we can do is take a break. Just don't feel guilty about it...consider it part of the journey.

Hoosier, you inspire me with your weight loss, sometimes I want to just give up as I am having a bad day with my diet and I think of how well you are doing. Se please just realise, you will have your bad days, but just know that you are and inspiration to others to help them get to their goal weight and that we are all here for you.

I struggle with anxiety. Finally saw the doctor and he thinks I may have depression as well. Just wanted to let you know that you aren't alone! I've been doing EFT aka "tapping"to try to take control of my symptoms. Check it out. Best of luck too you!

You have lost 77 lbs in 4 months which is a rapid rate, so maybe you are tired or bored. Go to a park or a lake. Don't worry. Try to have fun and relax.
