A little bummed. After weighing in this morning, found my weight is up a little. Could it be that I started Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30? I'm on day three of week 1. Trying this to get rid of flab around my lower belly, hips and bat wings. Hope that's the reason. Have a great Wednesday!

Yep, exercise, especially weightlifting/strength training, causes the muscles to retain water as they heal. Don't let a weight gain discourage you from working out. Keep up the great work.

just curious...what're bat wings? I'm guessing maybe arm flab? if so, funny! I love it! lol

You are gonna get "bummed," a lot of the time, because the scale is not our friend. You have got to get a pair of jeans/pants that is a little tight and every week try them on to see how they fit. Most likely it is water weight, so just stay focused on your program and soon everything will fall in line with it. The road is long, bumpy and unbearable at times, but hang in there I am sure you will bump into one of us along the road.

Hollipop - yes bat wings are underarm flab - it keeps waving after you quit, lol. Thanks for all the comments. C, I'm wearing a pair of jean shorts I got 6 weeks ago. Have to wear a belt to keep them up now.

Hey! I have that dvd too! Love it... I haven't worked it in a long time, but after my first round with Jillian Michaels, my calves were amazing. I've only recently returned to Fat Secret and haven't started a traditional workout yet. I've been keeping busy outside instead, mulching, digging, and stacking wood. Anyhoo- if I remember correctly, week 3 nearly killed me. Every time I almost order p90x, I remember week 3.
