Bandrai's Journal, 10 August 2018

I'm back around 147lb mark. I calculate on the last 3 months deficit, I should be down 8.5, 7 and 9lbs respectively that's 24.5lbs!! Instead I'm still hovering up and back between 142 and 147. I should be at my UG being 122/125lbs.
I have now decided I must go super low on carbs for a while. It seems my quite relaxed approach focusing primarily on CI CO has not delivered any dividends whatsoever, despite my hard work.
To compensate I will try and add in more protein. I don't particularly want to drop more calories I feel I'm at the limit there.
You guys always have great advice. This is a plateau like none I've ever seen where actually I am pretty much sticking with controlled intake and its just not working out LOL Tell me what you might do??? Happy Friday you beauties :)

I hope it works! I saw a video yesterday Dr Benjamin Bikman.a fat research scientist explained how being in ketosis increased metabolism. was fascinating.

Good luck. A month ago I put myself out of ketosis, ate more carbs I wanted to for a week then went back to keto. It got the scale moving again. We all are different, but I think my body needed the reset so to speak.

I adjusted my macro's and raised my calories closer to my maintenance at sedentary level. I used my exercise for my burning of the extra calories. Once I settled I raised my calories a little more on my heavy work out days. this is something you have to make your own decisions on. I hurt myself chasing the weight loss by reducing.

If you keep it under 2.5% of grams to calories then a 1000 calorie diet would be 50g carbs. I think 2.0% to 2.5% is the magic number. On 1800 cals I'm looking at 40g to 45g carbs. That my personal goal. 1200 cals would be 24 to 26grams. Etc. Fwiw.

Thanks Thor that is very useful info. I am around the 1000/1200 intake level and am trying to keep sub 30g on carbs .. which I actually struggle with. But I'm determined to keep at it. I am floating up and down between 145 and 155 repeatedly. So it'll take an extra effort to get sub 140 again. Achieved this a little while back, and really I've not done anything crazy in between, I'm quite disciplined :)
