I sort of chickened out and took an Imodium last night. It's the first time in months and months I've done that because they really want you to fix the problem with diet and not mask the symptoms with medication -- but I honestly didn't think I could function today if I was up during the night going to the bathroom, so I decided it was better to take one pill and then get back on track today. We went out to dinner tonight to celebrate a friend's birthday, and we went to Gather where the chef cooks special for me. I had seared scallops with some quinoa and a little ratatouille and some sorbet with berries -- so I was "legal" all the way and probably within my calorie count as well. But feeling so sick last night and struggling still today was a bit discouraging. At least I know from the experience of the past 3 mos. that if I just go back on the straight and narrow I will feel fine again... This is so hard through.
