Happy Friday Best Buddies!

I love all of you - my last entry was meant as humor - and some of you were so genuine and serious in your replies! Very good!

I see my Idiot Box budged down a little today - so I am encouraged and ready to go "kill it" at Orange Theory Fitness where the trainers are now handing me heavier weights and pushing up the elliptical for me! Geeezzz...I am 60 years old...what the hell, right? (Joking...love doing more reps with heavier weight than the age 30-somethings!)

And, I still cannot let go of my favorite Words of the Week, yet!

Words of the Week:

"I will never, never, never give up. I will be a pillar of bad-ass calm!"
I am dedicated, determined and diligent.

Those careless, fly-by-the-seat-of-their-pants, risk-taking trainers -- ignoring those 55-and-older AARP-recommended settings on your workouts . . . oh wait, there's no such thing! ;) At least your funny entry was only misinterpreted/misread by some -- my attempt at humor last week fell completely flat! Have a GREAT workout and glad to hear the Idiot Box is no longer on your 'list'!!

Nice drop. HCB, good for you on the heavier weights!! I don't consider age a limit for me but a chance to do a lot of new things.

Nice drop! My wife is the same age as you and she's a beast in the gym. Age is just a number.

Well done, buddy! I'm 53; our age doesn't set our limits, our minds do. :)

Fabulous! I am 61 and an almost total wimp! You are putting me to shame! Keep it up, you're not far from goal weight now, and fit and healthy to boot!

A state of mind, if you decide you are old you will be.

Only as old as you act. Hooray for the drop!

I'm 67. It's not as easy to make this journey as when we were in our 20's; however, we CAN do this!

Woo Hoo! you are doing awesome! I bet your trainers brag about you!

Kcalb, I'm 66, not far behind you. YES!!! You can do it!

My feeling is to exercise steadily and lose more weight, and hopefully, without trying too hard, more fitness and more capacity to exercise will come. I can't push it too much, I've done that before, and just hurt myself. Im jHi, I saw your post on the forums and have sent you a buddy request. I've found having buddies is actually the best thing on this site, even better than the tools provided. But if you don't want to do this, no problem. Good luck with your new lifestyle anyway! I'm just trying to make little changes - like carrying things myself instead of letting Mike do it, cycling to the shop instead of driving, stuff like that. But it is great to see other older women achieving so much, makes me think that one day I may possibly get there too ☺

Glad you like those words of the week I think they are AWESOME!!! I think it is awesome that you continue to get pushed and listen and do and continuing to improve on your badass-self. *hugs* Roughly 6 weeks till I get to join the local gym.... I gotta get this house-reno done. I have a much more personal renovation planned next!

HCB, I also love the words of the week they seem to stir up quite a healthy discussion much of the time. That is always interesting.

If it makes you feel good and it's not hurting anyone...do it!

I am a young 50 and you are killing my goals lol. Do what makes you feel good and screw the 'AARP' goals.

I loved the words for the week. For a 63 yrs old my biggest challenge is going to be 2. What kind of running can I start at this age that will be safe.
