Fritzy 22's Journal, 18 March 2018

Made stir fry for the 3rd time. Each time I do it I get 2 meals out if it. So it will be 6 days in a row, ending tomorrow. I'd used up the mushrooms and broccoli so today it was just onions, chicken and a few baby carrots. I've been using more calories than typical and having a hard time with intermittent fasting, often grabbing something to eat at 6-7pm. Since there isn't too much that's bad in the house the damage doesn't appear to be great. But the fasting part of the day has been so easy until the last couple of weeks. So I need to figure out why that is happening. I think my motivation isn't as great as it was 50 pounds ago, but I still have 20-25 left to go.

You're doing great on the weight loss, Fritzy! I know what you mean about motivation. I think that looking at the dietary changes as "lifelong lifestyle" instead of "dieting" helps. Marathon, not sprint!

I agree about not being on a diet, but changing my eating style for life. But honestly, I've been doing whatever I needed to lose to start out with and hoped that when I got close to goal I would transition to my desired WOE. But I am learning to like some things along the way and learned some things. My last lab tests showed cholesterol (both total and LDL) higher than they should be, with HDL where it should be. So because of that I shopped eating egg yolks and shrimp and beef. For the most part, I admit to having a burger a couple of times since January. Eventually I'll give up the diet soda but need it to keep going at this point. Good luck to you Pat and so glad you are back! I really missed you.
