🙈☹️ I was making the kids quesadillas and sausages for lunch... after cutting up three piping hot cheesy ooey gooey-ness I couldn’t help it, I ate a quarter of one... but didn’t think one slice would have so many carbs... 7carb mistake... 😩😩😩 looks like dinner has to be zero carbs 😱I haven’t had a corn tortilla in over two months and it honestly wasn’t worth it.

Note to self: it has never been worth it to “cheat”, so don’t even think about it again...

Yes!! That's how I have been feeling toward my old favorites- not worth it!

There is nothing like cheating with something that doesn't taste good enough to justify the calories.

Oh Mamamc thats okay. I really have it easy I give you a lot of credit having to Cook for everyone! I just have my SO and he has to make his own!

i want the kitchenaid veggie sheet cutter for Christmas this year. it looks like it would be good for making things like lasagne, maybe a thin quesadilla type snack, and maybe a veggie pizza. does anyone have one and does it fill that gap? i think we all know everything tastes better with cheese already - even veggies masquerading as tortillas!

@katsolo I am getting that for Christmas!!! I got the spiralizer for Mother’s Day and I love it. I imagine the sheet slicer will come in very handy!!!

Over time cutting carbs isn't good for you at all. There have been accounts of death due to a keto diet. Make sure your doctor knows about this and is taking your blood.

I enjoy the smell of food and I will remind myself it's just another weight gaining avenue so don't go there. And it works. With kids it's hard So keep telling yourself no no no it's not worth it. Good job.

Doesn't sound like it will matter all that much. 7 carbs? I guess my perspective is different since I am still dealing with eating the majority of a bag of Ruffles potato chips over 2 days! I bet it doesn't hurt you.

meant to say it WON'T matter that much.

My downfall is the red wine.

There are low carb tortillas out there. Mission make 2 sizes. Fiber is fantastic and net carbs low. I try to keep some in the freezer for the Quesadilla lunches with my grands. You'll be just fine on 7 carbs...

Don't know if you are counting only total carbs or net carbs (which you can track in your settings). You can track net carbs, but in the RDI and calendars the TOTAL carbs are only counted.

@horseshu1 I haven’t found low carb corn tortillas in my area. I will have to search amazon/thrive. I have to be on a strict gluten free diet, and a lot of low carb are whole wheat ☹️ I track net carbs. @fritzy My sausages I ate today we already my “high carb” food of the day, coming in at 13.5 😱 so that 1/2 a tortilla threw me over my goal. Oops. But I have a super busy weekend ahead, I know I will burn extra calories and get some exercise in!!

@womanstrong I sometimes just smell their treats before I give them to them 🤣 because as much as I want them, I know I don’t really. Also my taste buds have changed, even some fruits are just way too sweet for me!

Yes! That’s so funny. I had an inexpensive spiralizer but it broke. Maybe I’ll start watching for it on sale now as it could make the holidays much more tolerable. Sheets vs. spirals. Hmmmm.

It is hard when we have kids. I feel my habits my kids are now doing. They do see me changing so I hope they start to reach for more if the veggies and fruit!

@sprtmm yes, in my house my kids run around constantly and can eat all the carbs, but we do eat real healthy compared to most of America!! I homeschool so we spend time each week learning about cooking healthier foods.
