I feel like I am making up...

... for the time I have been sitting on my butt, trying to study. 4 months took a toll. And constantly tired.

Maybe it is this stress off my back (there is still enough without class), maybe it is the sunshine - does not matter as long as I move.

I did not eat much today, forced down some Brats since I wanted to mow the lawn and had not had enough to do that. No need for me to collapse in the backyard and no one will find me.

Anyway, I worked hard. My neighbor will probably mow tomorrow but he does not do the corners and edges. I am not too picky about it either, I run them with the law mower and what I can't catch has to wait until I get the wed wacker out (happens seldom, that thing is not fun to work with).
My other neighbors brush keeps on growing closer and closer. So this had to go. Lift up the front of the lawnmower and shred it down *lol* Heavy work! I was sweating pretty good. It just has to go - habitat for ticks and I have a tick-phobia right now. Maybe I'll get a chance on Wednesday to get some DE out. Depends if the weather stays dry.

Now, my strawberry is still hanging outside. I am debating if I bring it in and enjoy it :-)

I'll bet it was! Mine are so much more sweet and delicious than anything I can find in a store!

I love fresh strawberries...my grandpa and dad raised strawberries commercially on our farm in Indiana....a strawberry always takes me back home.

My gardening time is way behind me. Did a lot when the children were small but then....Life changed. This is the first time I planted some strawberries since I am living here and the first time in my life I have them in a hanging basket. Trying to grow anything in the middle of the woods is not worth the effort, unfortunately. And since I am working full time I cannot tend to a garden as I should. So, this year it is a tomato plant, the strawberry and a physalis on the patio :-) And yes, it was the most delicious strawberry and I am looking forward to a few more.

Hey Jozette! Great to see you! I LOVE strawberries. I just bought a bag of organic so I can thaw some for yogurt or put them frozen in smoothies. Mmmm! Fresh picked are awesome! I'm one lb from goal! We have been living in Astoria, OR since late last August. We got married in Sept. We've been together 8 years. I continued to tweak my diet and took off 10 lbs since moving here! So, when we began to unpack, I put LOTS of clothing aside for a huge yard sale we're going to have. We downsized before moving from 1450 sq ft and found an 800 sq ft home. Lots more to downsize, but so worth it as we have an amazing view of the Columbia River and bridge, and plenty of room for all we need and want here. Life is good! Take care of yourself! We bought a battery mower, but the grass was so out of hand when we moved in we rented a mower and Greg mowed. Lots of work! Again, great to see you!

Hi Luvinlife - great to see you too. As I can tell, a lot of things happened when I was absent. Well, that's live :-) I am glad you are doing so well and are happy!/// of course, having something green around the house keeps you busy all the time (unless you follow my dad's recommendation - cover it with concrete and paint it green *rofl*). Good exercise though.
