Yesterday evening was fun 😀 The food was nice too, so I ate lots of it 😈 As this seems to be becoming a habit, I'm going to start logging food again 😇 Lol 😀 and grrrrrr 😬

And could I just have a quick moan about my hubby, who went rock-climbing yesterday morning, said he would be back around 2.30, arrived home 4 hours after he said he would, barely time to turn around and go out, and never thought to ring me? I was hopping mad, and still am actually!

He frequently goes walking in the mountains on his own, and sometimes comes back somewhat later than he's said. I just tell him if he has an accident and is out of phone range, he needs to be prepared to spend the night in the mountains, because I wouldn't raise the alarm till after dark, and nobody would be able to go looking for him till the morning. This was different because he had promised to come home early to prepare for the gig in the evening, and also he was climbing, which he hasn't done for a while, and with a group some of whom are not experienced climbers. It was actually more likely that there was a problem with one of the others, and in fact they were just very slow. One guy had to be hauled up a section he couldn't climb, and this actually did put Mike at risk because he then had to climb that section with the rope set in the wrong place, and could have taken a bad fall. He says he won't go with that group again, as the leader made some bad decisions. But he probably will go with another experienced climber that he met. That's fine, as long as he doesn't go on a day when we have another major commitment in the evening, and as long as he phones me if he's going to be late. He has agreed that he should have called me, and apologized, although he did remind me of a recent occasion when I kept him waiting for half an hour in a shopping mall, which is hardly comparable I think! And I did text him!

Oh dear Heidi sometimes they just don't think. I can see why you would be quite annoyed. Hopefully he will keep in touch better next time 🤔

Heidi, you are quite right to be upset. He might have had a bad time of it, but he should have had the decency to let you in on what was going on at some point. Glad you had a wonderful evening in spite of everything. :)

Thanks for 'listening' folks! I usually get him to write down for me where he's going when he goes out, so that I will know where to send the search party, lol! I need to get him to add a return time, I think. It might help him to think about calling me, maybe...?
