Started May 16 222.8 lbs total weight lost = 25.8

Couldn't be happier - went on a 10 day vacation and lost 3 lbs. Ate with family and enjoyed good food, great conversations, a glass or two of wine, restaurants, even a bit of fudge, all to moderation and with eating on my intermittent fasting protocol of daily fasting 16 hours and eating in an 8 hour window. Didn't count calories or weigh myself, just made good choices. YIPPEE!

Unfortunately, I also had a 48 hour unplanned fast in the mix because we received a phone call in the middle of the night that my niece had had a life threatening, terrible roll over accident in another state. We couldn't get to her and didn't know if she was going to live or die. I fasted and prayed for her, and was so blessed that through changing my ways of eating, I have built up the discipline to be able to do so. The awesome news is she is recovering, very banged up but all who were at the scene said she should have died.

NOW... to keep it up where I have access to the fridge any time I want - that just might be the harder test, lol!

DMZur He certainly was. The vehicle was destroyed. It had rolled at least 2 times and her injuries were severe but nothing like what they would have expected. We were so glad we were with them when they received that dreaded middle of the night call no parent wants to hear <3

mountain_mama, I truly believe God sends guardian angel to protect us send our families around us when we are most in need of them. I know you'll be there to support him through his long therapy. Take care.

That is wonderful news about your niece. I can't imagine what you and your family went through waiting to see how things would turn out. God is with us, of that there is no doubt. Congratulations on your weight loss and the fasting. You are an inspiration to me and will think of your success when I am struggling with mine. (recently started a 16:8 fasting regime and having a tough time in the mornings until I can eat again)

cheleletourneau, honestly it gets easier and easier the longer you practice it. It's quite amazing. No other dieting protocol I've done has gotten easier as you go, it always gets harder until you quit. It was fairly easy for me because I've never been a morning eater naturally. You can set your eating window any way you want. Just stop eating 2-3 hours before you go to bed. So if evenings are easy for you not to eat... adjust your window and eat in the morning :-)
