Love those cats. Cats look into your soul, I swear!

So I am in the backyard, I hear this massive car crash, and when I run to the nearby busy street, I see about 10 people looking down into a 15 feet deep water, wash near our house. A young, girl had lost control of her car, and went through the fence nose first into the wash. Very lucky she had seat belts on or she would be dead. She was standing at the bottom crying and saying, "I don't have my Driver's License!" She was Ok!

Phew - lucky escape! Not from the law maybe though.

To be honest, Doobrie, I couldn't hardly believe my eyes. The car was standing straight up. I couldn't believe she wasn't hurt. Being a teacher, I know many kids don't get their license. I once had a 6th grader, that would honk his horn to show me driving his mom's car, as he waved. He was 12 years old! lol

As a farm kid driving from age 10, I'm so amazed and thankful that kids wear their seat belts now when we never thought to do that way back when. I don't think some of the trucks I drove at highway speeds, maybe pulling a trailer, even had seatbelts.

when I look into the eyes of the once feral cats at work, I see the universe. Each one just as beautiful as can be :)

Seatbelts saved my life at age 27. This is an interesting story. I had just left a friend's house, buckled my belt, and the last thing I remember was going toward a signaled intersection. I was T-boned by a guy, who had just bought a new van. I was crushed inside the car. I remember coming conscious, and a lady is looking in the car, screaming, "He is still ALIVE!" It was this guy stopped at the light, and saw the accident, and he was on a first date with the girl. I ruined his night. The guy who hit me said, that I ran the light. But the guy with the date said, no the van ran the light. Thank god. I was taken to the hospital and stitched up.

Glad you were ok and had a witness to stand up for you. I doubt it ruined his date - lol! Probably made the night quite exciting for them :) On a sad note, my sister died in a car accident at the age of 40. She wasn't wearing a seatbelt. She was sitting in the back and a lot of cars didn't even have them in the back in those days (1982).

Ever watch a cat suddenly turn it's head and watch as though something unseen was moving around the room? The matrons in my tribe used to say cats could see the spirits of those who had long passed as they walked among us. Maybe it was just my Mom, Aunts' superstitions but they seemed to enjoy scaring me!

That reminds me of the Whaley House in San Diego. Google it! It has a great reputation. I visited it, and the lady there was telling a story of how Regis Philbin had contacted them about staying the night there. He had bet a friend, that he couldn't stay the night with him there. As the story goes, they took a payment for them to stay the night. Their stay was very short, as they were petrified by visions and sounds, and ran from the place in hysterics.

According to the Travel Channel's America's Most Haunted, the house is the number one most haunted house in the United States. http://whaleyhouse.org/hauntedfolklore.htm
