I find the LCHF diet to be pretty easy to follow. Easy to grocery shop, easy to eat out in restaurants ... easy to remember what I should be eating. I've been doing this for almost 2 months, excluding the 9 days of vacation. While on our cruise vacation I ate (and drank) the way I used to before and guess what? I had acid indigestion and stomach ache a couple of times. I had not had those in months and sure didn't miss them. Oh, and by the end of the vacation, I had a mild headache that lasted two days straight. Glad to be back in Keto!

Hi! Thank you for sharing your cruise experience. I have a cruise scheduled next month. It will be my 5th, and every time, I eat, eat, eat. This time, I don't want it to be about the food, and I sure don't want food related discomforts. I am planning on eating a pile of Alaskan salmon, though!

Sounds like you're going to Alaska, we did too. They had salmon on the menu every night. Also crème brulee every night, which is my downfall. Food is not a big deal to me, I find it easy to make good choices --- except for sugar. Sugar is super hard to resist. :)

I know, right? Why does sugar have to be so delicious? We are cruising on Princess out of Seattle. Already planning two breakfasts at Portage Bay. I have fantasies about their french toast. Juneau has Hangar on the Wharf, where I will eat salmon and seafood chowder. Hm. It is a lot about the food, isn't it? Non food stuff will be a trip to Annette Island in Ketchikan, whale watching in Juneau, and the train in Skagway as well as sled dogs in Skagway. Don't you love the air in AK? I am looking forward to it. Did you go on some excursions?

Lady, you are doing the same cruise we just did - we were on the Crown Princess, round trip out of Seattle. There was another Princess ship in several of the ports though. We did Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, Ketchikan & Victoria, BC. The only excursion we did his trip was the sled dogs excursion in Skagway - it was fun! Have a great cruise, but watch out for that devil named crème brulee - it's irresistible!

I'll think of you every time I see it on the menu and DON'T order it! ☺
