Just heard today that I have diabetes. I've known I was overweight,.but have been in a difficult situation like many other people. I have 4 bad disks in my back and until I can get the pain under control it's hard to exercise.
so I'm starting with this food log for my doctor and am going to try to start walking again. I'd LOVE to hear from anyone dealing with diabetes or pain issues and weight loss. I've got to get this under control.

They say you lose weight in the kitchen and get fit in the gym. Focus on losing weight right now. Losing just 10% of your current weight can make you feel so much better. Small doable goals. Reward yourself with non food items. There are some great books, sites and magazines with great recipes to help you lose weight and are for diabetics. Be proactive and learn as much as you can about your condition. Baby steps.
