I hate feeling hungry. I have eaten breakfast, lunch and a snack so far and my stomach is still pretty angry. I've drank a lot of water, green tea and I even chewed gum. I'm trying to wait until 6 to cook dinner, because if I eat too early I will be hungry again before bed.

Maybe my calories are set too low. Idk, but this is frustrating. Hunger is the reason why I decided to just be overweight and happy for the last 18 months. In the past losing weight was super easy. It didn't require much effort on my part. After my second son the weight just dropped off. After my daughter it came off without too much of a fight... I'm only 31 so I can't imagine that my metabolism has slowed down all that much. sheesh. I guess I better go chew some more gum (sugar free) and drink some more water.

I'm cooking chicken alfredo with broccoli, bell peppers and onions. I make my own sauce and it is pretty amazing. Yummmmm.

Happy Friday friends!

When I am starving I heat up a bag of frozen mixed veggies like those California mixes(broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots) , season them and maybe drizzle some olive oil and much away. Its very filling and the whole bag is only like 45 calories. Another of my go to's is a cup of tea or low salt bouillon. Almost no calories and gets me through to the next meal. My point is find a couple low calorie snacks like jello or whatnot to help you get through the hunger pangs. It's tough and we all get them. Eventually it gets better.

Your calories are fine - your problem may be too many processed carbs - look at the totals on your food diary. reduce your carbs and increase the protein you choose to eat. that definitely helps us feel more full - another option is to reduce carbs and eat more protein and healthy fats such as 15 almonds, one mozzarella cheese stick, one tablespoon of peanut butter, half a fresh avocado...fat really helps us feel full! It is not just about calories - it is about choosing high quality foods, too.Good luck.

Thanks so much for all of the suggestions. I need to buy some cashews and a few more raw veggies. I love cucumber slices with acv or carrot sticks. Both have really low calories and lots of fiber :)

Make sure you are getting enough protein. Make sure you get some protein every few hours to keep your blood sugars level. I don't mind the feeling of hunger sometimes. It's okay to feel hunger. We are so used to thinking that the moment we feel hungry we should put something in our stomach and that's not true. You are doing great. Fat is also a good idea like HCB says.
