Ok...Ok It is about how many calorie one takes. There is no such thing as body going into "starvation mode",it's more like my metabolism decreases. There is no way, I should be exercising 2 to 3 hours, eat non carb foods and just loose 8 to 10 pounds. So today is day one and I will not be using as much mayo and oil. For example I used 1 TBS hellmans for my tuna and celery sticks and a tsp for my 3/4 cup of green beens today. Fat has to be on the diet. I am a carb addict and frankly when I was on befo this diet befor, I had energy, felt good about life. Today everything in my life is upside down and it would be great to be able to at least wear my favorite jeans through it all. Oh I was told that if I kept getting stressed, cortison (?) layer of fat would develop. Well what about Africa? A country that has no food tends to bring on a ton of stress and I dont see anybody overweight. Enough with the myths.

Yes, losing weight is mostly about calories in/calories burned. But there are many other factors that go in to weight loss too. Everything from age, sex, genetics, kinds of foods we eat, water, stress, inflammation, sickness, etc. And they all effect individuals differently, lol. I do believe stress and lack of sleep can effect our bodies and our weight. But it effects everyone differently. It's always good to take what works for you from all the information out there and leave the rest. Good luck!

Have you considered trying the ketogenic approach? You could have your mayonnaise...and other healthy fats as long as you do low carbs. maybe look at it on Google.

Hi, Yes. I am on Atkins but was I was eating 2 tbs of virgin oil per 2 cups of salde 3 times a day which is like700 something in oil and that did not include mayo with tuna. I was eating way too many calories. So I do Atkins but 1 Tbs per meal of oil.

I had plenty of energy. I took in more calories than yesterday but I did more exercises and had 2 business meeting. I do a lot of Yin yoga which is very relaxing. Another name for it is Restorative Yoga. You ar in one position for 5 to 10 min and allow the fascia of muscles/ligament to kinda spread out so I don't bulk. I love Pilate because I use to dance but it is all about concentration outside (The physical) and inside(my emotions and an incident I went through) which I gained 40 pds eating sugar out of bags . French bread with European butter with sugar. I took a power nap of 45 mins and felt hunger so a devil egg with tsp not tbs like I did before. I have energy but I also think because I am going through so much emotionally, that weight feels like it is the only control I have....sorta.I also have a ton of anxiety and this yin yoga (restorative yoga) and walking 3 miles in an hour helps me concentrate on breath and when I walk, I actually say the Rosary and I concentrate a lot better than my knees on a pew. I dont know if anyone is reading this, but what a great site. It is wonderful to see exactly what I am eating and what I am doing instead of pen and paper. Thank you .
