Challenges can be great tools for weight loss. I almost didn't join the Intermittent Fasting Challenge, but now I am glad I did:

According to my 16:8 plan, I eat all my calories between 10 AM and 6 PM. But last night (after vet appointment and taking Granddaughter on errand) it was after 6 when I got home. Dinner was at 7.

Normally I would just blow it off, but because of the Challenge I am going to hold off on eating breakfast this morning until after 11. That will put me back into the 16:8 protocol.

Yes, I'll be hungry for a couple of hours, but it will be worth it!

Some times we have to take drastic measures...but at least we are still thinking about what needs to be done for our best interest...:O)

BuffyBear, good for you on sticking with the IF and adjusting the time. I've found drinking water helps with the hunger, a hot no calorie beverage like tea helps too. Sometimes I put a TBSP of coconut oil in my coffee and that helps, you'd think it would be counterproductive but it doesn't break the fast, gives you an energy boost, and actually helps with burning fat. Anyway knowing you'll be able to eat in just a little while longer helps you get through any hunger. Great job, keep it up!

jmb3450 - Thanks. The hot drinks do work magic. I love herb tea at night.
