northernmusician's Journal, 24 January 2015

Okay. My body is being stupid. Yesterday I complained that I'd seen no loss in 5 days. My stated intention was to cut more consistently from today forward since last night was my birthday dinner, and I went out and ate 2800 calories for the day. This morning, I'm down. How cool is that. I'm wondering if maybe I should skip the dieting and whine and complain about not losing weight and then eat to much to get consistent losses. Waddaya say?

lmao - yeah OK -if you REALLY believe that is going to work for you try it for about a month and see what happens. Believe me it takes time to have an affect one way or another. It does not happen overnight.

Oh, Northern, I just read your profile - I see a bit more clearly. When I was doing a lot of weight lifting it seemed like I was in a constant weight increase or staying the same mode but the old saying goes, muscle weighs more than fat. The muscle density takes up less area mass than fat does and really looks better so I would not worry at all about my weight if I were you - just keep up doing what you were doing. At 5'11'' You are probably rock solid

Thanks, everyone. Bill, I think trying to make it happen by attempting to control it would be a little like washing my car because I wanted it to rain. Now if I just needed to wash my car because it was dirty...?

Bwhahaha! If whining and complaining worked, I would be down 50lbs!

I think whining and complaining might burn calories, too. Ha! Well, if that doesn't work, try moaning and groaning. Hope you had a fun birthday! :)

Nice weight loss, your body was probably just ready to get rid of the water weight you were holding on.

No, you probably just jumpstarted your metabolism. Keep going! Even if a bit comes back, if you keep at it, it has to work! :)
