I went on another fabulous run this afternoon, Folks. The sun is shining and I couldn't resist hitting the pavement to log a few more miles on the ol' running shoes! I'm convinced everyone in my little mountain town thinks I'm insane. They're not exactly "health conscious" here, seeing as the only business in town is a corner beer/cigarette/junk food "bodega" type of store. I've yet to see another runner, and the only walkers I see are the people walking to and from the beer store to buy more smokes. *sigh* They look at me running up and down these crazy hills like I'm an alien or an escaped mental patient. Oh well.

After my run, it was so warm and sunny, I was able to soak in a few rays on the porch before heading in to study. Gotta get that vitamin D while I can since it seems like the sun only comes out once a month here in the winter time. I just keep telling myself, "The days are starting to get longer now!", so that helps me get through these dismal winter months - well, that and my endorphins from running. Exercise, the world's most underutilized antidepressant. Use it, Folks!

OK, enough typing, more studying!
Go out and make this week extraordinary, everyone!

Kale, Kettlebells and Kisses to you all!
*muuaaahhhh*

I used to live in a town like that. So much happier where I'm at now...even with the snow and ice, it's a pretty active community. Had to break out the ice cleats for running now...but it is SO much better to run outside, isn't it??!!??!!

Oh yes!! Outside runs are the best! For some reason, I can't run as far or as fast on a treadmill as I can run effortlessly outside. I wonder why that is? Must be some psychology behind it because with hills, treadmill belt propulsion and outside wind resistance, you'd think the treadmill would be easier? But my RPE is significantly higher on a treadmill when running at the same pace that I run outside. Weird. I'm going to need some ice cleats too if I'm going to survive the winter here!
