Thanksgiving went well. My candied sweet potatoes were a hit, and everything else was simply delicious. We had our usual crowd of about 40 people come through at staggered times, and of course everyone was in a great mood because the Detroit Lions stomped on the Chicago Bears; no other games really mattered after that. :-) I'm not into the Black Friday thing, so if I do anything it won't be any more than catching a movie at the dollar show. I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving, and will have a great weekend as well. :-)

You are wise to steer clear of black friday. Theres been absolutely ridiculous scenes in the UK and incredibly some people took children with them. It beggars belief! I am glad all went well for your thanksgiving and your food was a hit. :)

Thanks, as it's been about five years since I've made candied sweet potatoes, or candied sweets, as my mom use to call them. After I finish my to-go plates I'll be making my own version of Thanksgiving dinner, since I didn't cook anything other than my contribution to our family gathering. The center piece will be cornish game hens, and baked sweet potatoes without all the extra sugar. :-)
