Somehow did over 10,000 steps on the pedometer yesterday. No real other exercise, still trying to catch up on the re-do mess. Kept busy after work on the house. Slept like a rock and the alarm woke me up out of a dead sleep, so hard to get conscious, I'm usually at least partially awake before it goes off.

Trying to get back in the habit of getting my lunch ready the night before. I used to do this as I usually have leftovers for lunch but have been scrambling in the am to do it. Today it ready to pick up the containers and fruit and pop in my lunch bag.

Very good habit - having 'some' plan. The tough part for me is the urge to eat because it's 'there' - whether hungry or not. But better resorting to a quick fast food - both nutrition & $$.

I always take lunch to work. If I spend money on restaurant food, I want to enjoy it, not gobble down some awful food that I ran to get and get back within our 1/2 hour and try to eat and talk on the phone at the same time. Tends not to work very well :))

10,000 step sounds like plenty of exercise to me. Would be very curious to know how many miles that is?

I think about 5 miles. Only about 8,000 today.

I did 8200+ this morning and my walk was 3.46 miles. And I fell twice so I hope the pedometer gave me credit for that lol.

what does 10000 steps equal in miles?

About 5 miles. 10,000 is the # many organizations say you should walk to be considered active. It's the goal # for many walking programs. I haven't seen any scientific studies or anything on this. It's just on lots of web sites.
