Confession: I don't like working out (coming from the man currently on the treadmill walking 1.5 mph with a 3 degree incline watching Executive Decision on demand)

I like the results I get from working out. Came home after a long day at work to see one of my sons who's allergies are worse than mine today with balls of used tissue all over.

Energy is very low but I am determined to get this weight off then enjoy my 600 calorie soup with 300 calorie garlic bread.

OK, enough of this slow pace. Putting down the phone and going to keep my eyes on the prize.

Getting Slim, going to win!!

I used to hate exercising but now I like riding my stationary bike. I watch a TV show while I'm riding it so I'm not bored. Walking comes natural to me, since I don't have a car and I live in a small city I go everywhere on foot. The only thing I don't like is calisthenics but I do it anyway about 3 times a week. It's necessary to build muscles as they speed up your metabolism.

I live on a Greek island so no gym available, and its far too hot to walk or exercise outside. The only thing is swimming at this time of year (for me anyway - others are more hardy!) I look forward to September when its cooler and I can get out with my wee dogs and do some decent walking again.

I can almost guarantee that as I get closer to my goal I the flip side will occur. I probably will find every excuse to exercise. For now, I do it for the results. I have adjustable weights next to my treadmill so sometimes I hit pause button, jump off when the belt stops, do 5 minutes of weights and then get back on.

I hate cardio with a passion, so I understand completly! I do my 2 mile walk at 3.5 - 4 mph, 5 days a week but that's all the cardio that I can stand and it's not even real cardio in the sense of getting your heart rate up. Keep at it! It's good for ya!

You'll learn to love it...or you'll find some activity that you love to do. Just keep active, my friend. You seem to be making nice little changes here and there, and then you take the time to evaluate whether they work (or were worth it). It's a lifelong commitment.

Great job! Yes, once you start getting into exercising you will always want to get in a workout.
