oceanavenue's Journal, 21 July 2014

It's time to really get down and dirty. I've been doing a lot better with eating and excerise now than I have in the past, but it's still not enough for me to lose any kind of weight. I have been eating a lot more calories than I record. Not a ton over, but enough to effect my weight loss. Plus I want to get to the gym at least 5 days a week (Mon-Fri). I want to get on the scale and see what an actually weeks worth of good days will do. :)

You can do it! Is there any particular reason why you aren't recording accurate amounts in your food journal?

I think I just don't want to face that I ate all those extra calories.

That's part of the plan. Being honest with ourselves. That's how you learn what you're really eating and can start making the adjustments as you go along.

ClassicRocker is right. As embarrassing as it is, you should really record everything you eat. Just have a look through my food journal and I can almost guarantee I have got you beat in the category of over eating... :/

Okay... checked your diary. You're not eating enough. Didn't think you'd hear that, did you? Go back and get another rdi based on your current weight. Serious. You're starving yourself and that's not the way to begin a new healthy eating plan. Unless, of course, you're not documenting everything.

According to fat secret my rdi should be 2400. That seems so high though!!

For people that weigh more, it is higher and should be brought down as you lose. If they say 2400, try 1800 for a week or two and see what happens. And make sure you enter all your food. Everyone is different.

I'll give 1800 a try. Thanks
