Be careful. Sometimes when I feel that kind of stress in my life -- and it manifests by actually falling down -- I plan a few quiet evenings. For example, I binge watch Pride & Prejudice or Downton Abbey or something else calming. Be well.

Problems are not with my husband but with SIL. Daughter and her family live with us. SIL is problematic. It's for them to resolve. He is hard to be around. Thanks to all for your good wishes, and yes Warren, I'm shaking it off but with carrot cake. Have to start my sugar detox over again. Thanks for your support.

Hi Sarah its good of you to allow them to live with you. Maybe a quiet night out to the movie or dinner with hubby would help break the cycle of how you are feeling. Evening walks with hubby may help relieve the stress. Hang in there buddy and be extra good to yourself right now.

Aaaaannnnnnddddd how is this Karma? Did you do something problematic to a family member in the past, and now it's a blast in your house? Well, nothing is insurmountable if you approach it with an open mind. Maybe it's time for your house guests to get on their feet and get out. I see discussions with your DH in the near future...

My daughter & her family had to stay with us for about 1 1/2 yrs while they got better jobs & saved money for their own place. There were 8 of us for awhile, know what you mean about stress. Sometimes I didn't handle it well, but fortunately it all panned out. They are much better off financially & have their own home. Grandkids are doing well, too. Hope things work out for you and soon - may I suggest boxing instead of carrot cake?

Thanks for your ideas and support. My daughter + SIL are taking some positive steps to resolve the issue. They're going to look for a house. It'll relieve the problem. I'll do my best to rise above irritations until then. Love the boxing idea...😉

Sometimes it helps to think of it this way Sarah: "Not my Circus, Not my Monkeys!" But seriously, hun, hang in there... Maybe take a nice warm bath, or once when I was in a similar situation (had extended family staying with us for a time) I actually hid in my closet for 10 minutes, with the light out, and just focused on some deep breathing. Amazing what just 5 or 10 minutes of relaxation can do for you. Lots of warm, happy thoughts sent your way!!!
