Comfort Food

I wanted to thank everyone for the kind words regarding my last post. I am still hopeful that I will be get a job soon, I just need to be patient. Tomorrow, I will go to my volunteer job and help out for a couple of hours. I always feel better when I am helping someone.

Today, I decided to make some flourless peanut butter cookies (with chocolate chunks!) from a recipe I found recently. I altered the recipe a bit by adding 4 tablespoons of unsweetened shredded coconut to the mix. It was actually the perfect texture and baked like a dream. I had two cookies and had to restrain myself from eating the rest. Yay willpower.

I justify eating two peanut butter cookies because I walked for 45 minutes and jogged less than 30 seconds of that time (lol!) I think I was trying to run away from the cold, windy weather I was experiencing. Oh well, I know the weather is ten times worse in the northeast so I can't complain too much. I hope everyone has a great day.

Good willpower! I'm not sure I would have such willpower, so I avoid making things that will tempt me. lol

Lol,I just made that recipe a few day's ago without the chocolate chips and I eat almost all of it by myself. I admire your willpower. I just can't make homemade sweet's for a while until I am at my goal weight and then I still can't make them very often. I know my own limitations.

I've stopped making the sweets too as I have little willpower. I've been working out when my sweet tooth sneaks up.....And why do we reward ourselves with a sweet after a great work out. I ask myself after coming in from a walk and sticking a cookie into my mouth. I have to stop that.....maybe reward myself with a spa treatment or new clothing item with every 5 pounds down.....
