changed my diet for the past 3 or 4 days upping my caloric intake from 800-1400 per day to now 1800-2000 for the past 4 days to experiment with my caloric intake to see what the maximum amt of calories i can eat without gaining weight and haven't gained weight yet at around 2000 which is my rdi , but not losing at all but have still had caloric deficits when i boosted my caloric intakes. trying to experiment to see if i can still lose weight on a normal caloric intake think it is the best for long term weight loss instead of those ultra low calorie/starvation diets.

the first 8 weeks of my diet i was on a ultr low starvation diet 1200 avg calories for 8 weeks that was how i was able to drop from 215 down to 185 in 8 weeks 30 pounds lost but now want to go back to a normal rdi of 2000 calories and a normal low fat diet to see if i can continue to lose weight or find an equilibrium right diet for me so that i can eat the maximum calories without gaining weight. as soon as i see one or more pounds will have to drop calories the next day to stop the weight loss.

my total calories used were 3750 for work walking 8 hours so even after eating 2000 calories for the past 3 days for work i still have had a deficit of 1700 calories every day but not still not losing any weight even with an average 1700 caloric deficit for the past 3 days.

look up reverse dieting and start adding calories, fat and carbs that way and you should be able to get up to eating many more calories and maintain/lose weight. There is also Intermittent fasting, you can look up drsarasolomon.com for that. Research before you try to stay on this super low cal thing. You are going to ruin your metabolism and have to stay on super low cal's or you will gain it right back. It's not safe and it's not a long term thing, you will cave eventually and eat and when you do, you will gain.

Do it slow, the hare wins the race in this case.

i ate 2300 calories yesterday and still managed to lose 1 lb. but with a caloric expenditure of 3500; and consuming 2300 lost 1 lb; i'm starting my reverse diet. the ultra low calorie diet worked as a quick weight loss plan but was not sustainable and fit its purpose. thanks for the info will look up intermittent fasting also.

decided to go back to the ultra low calorie diet and up the exercise and lost 6 lbs since trying to go back on a normal 2000 calorie diet. walking up 49 stories per night really did the trick to boost my metabolism and kick in the new round of weight loss. also have stayed totally vegetarian and the weight is just dropping like a rock.
