Soooooooo...........remember when I said I went back home last weekend for a Halloween party and bday party?? Well, unbenownst(sp?)to me and hubby, our city-wide trick or treat was LAST weekend. Bummer. I was sooooo pumped, this would be my first year that I could hand out candy. I used to be a shift worker and since I don't have kids I would volunteer for Halloween night so the parents could take their kids out. Well, needless to say, I have 8 bags of candy all distributed into little Halloween favor bags and no home for them. Me and my pups had costumes and I was going to get some pumpkins, hay, and gourds after work and make a little bonfire out front....so bummed :( The double-down side is I have 8 bags of candy in my house. 8 BAGS!!!! Oy....guess we will be taking all that to work. Minus the Twix...they will be my vice for a while lol.

I hope you all have a super fun Halloweeeeeeeeeeeen, be safe!!!

We are bad, we waited until TODAY to get our Halloween candy... And we aren't passing out candy, but BBQ chips. We don't get too many kids, and we don't want to have too much candy in the house, because of course, Mariah is trick-or-treating, and doesn't eat the candy. She brings it home, takes out the 10 pieces that she really wants, and says, "Mom, Dad, you can have the rest. I'm good". Love her to death.

Yea, I remember that well. After Halloween, my office used to have bowls of candy all over the place. Everyone brought in their leftover candy. I can't even imagine what my sugar readings were back then. JD, brings back memories. My oldest was the same way, she never was a sweets eater. Good idea getting the BBQ chips instead of candy.

I just don't get why some towns do trick or treating early... it takes all the fun out of actual Halloween!
