Ok, is this just my scale, or does this happen to everybody:

I weigh myself, in my birthday suit (you're welcome for that image) up to three times, and get a the same result.
Then, I go do something, for a short while, such as take a shower.
Then, I weigh myself again, and the result is different, often up or down nearly a pound. I didn't even move the scale on the floor.
I can understand an ounce or two difference, but a pound is just crazy.

Do I need a new scale, or does this happen to everyone?

Everyone. Take your measurements weekly, that’s more fun :-)

I don't know about everyone but it happens to me. I have a similar routine when I weigh so I take the high and low between the two sets and just average it. keep in mind the number on the scale is not a prime measure of progress. it's a secondary measure at best imo

Happens to me. Do i still weigh myself multiple times and get annoyed, even though i know this? Yes.

Same issue! Get annoyed by it, go for a run! So in the end, it works out!

I weigh in once a week - same time and same outfit as you. I fluctuate a pound or better from day to day based on my GI tract activity. Keeps things consistent for measuring and my sanity. I hope you have a great day on your journey.

This happens from past experience.

Well good to know it's not just me!

I only weight myself in the morning. If or when I weight in throughout the day, the change drives me a bit crazy. I have plenty of other things that can make me insane, so I skip this one. :)

you retain water after a shower.

I meant to add that water weight gain happens when the shower is short and not too hot.

i weigh myself every morning and yes I get a bit 'frowny face' when I don't see results I want. BUT I've gotten where I can deal with it now better than when I was younger. I think I need a new better scale though. Does anyone here have suggestions of a SUPER SCALE?

Just stick with your first weigh in of the day. Fluctuations will happen throughout the day from movement, food digesting, precious food digesting, water retention, sweating, poop/urine, activity from movement/daily exercise. Etc & so fourth. Weight will give multiple answers through the day due to varying reasons, it’s normal. Just use your weight in the morning after using the bathroom in the bday suit

Yes it happens to me. All I care about is that 3x in a row it doesn't differ by more than .2 lb.

Happens to us all. A pint of water weighs a pound.
