Here we go again.....its friday :), got half an hour left at work & nothing to do!!! went out last night for a 'short' run. Glad the sun was about to set, so i didn't get too hot. I did cut it short as i forgot my prept water bottle, hey hoh. Today we are back to the usual rain. tomorrow we are expecting a month worth of rain in 24 hours. A bit scary!!!

Talking about tomorrow: I have been asked to attend a 3 hour long Body Combat-Thon (charity do). LOL....shall I do it? Toby (the instuctor) is a real sweetheart, not only is he VERY good looking, but he is so full of energy, ALL the time, & he treats the 'older' ladies with the smame cheeky smile as he does his young gorgeous 'followers'. He just knows how to motivate his crew & keep them going. Just 1 in a million!!!!

Took the dogs (2 spanials & 1 spanial/retriever cross) on the 'Downs' yesterday afternoon. Boy did I work up a sweat. Only downside to it was the tick check they had to through when we got back. I hate these blood sucking creatures!!!! & oaks fur was full of burrs. so the aftermaths took longer than the walk. LOL

Blimey....got distractet.....must go home now :)

Have a wonderful weekend, hopefully less wet then me!

Cute journal today! During the school year I check my Fat Secret journal during lunch or during down time (planning time). I am not as active then as I am now. Well? Let's see! I say "go for it." The 3 hour Body Combat marathon sounds fun. Our pup is an inside the house lap dog but our brother-in-law has been talking about how bad the ticks are in his area. He lives in an area with thick woods.

I wanted to let you know that I mentioned you in my journal today, because your 12k run the other day motivated me TODAY to kick it up a notch!!! After commenting to you that I'm happy to run a 12 min mile, but usually more like a 15 min mile, I jumped on the treadmill today and ran 2 miles in 23 mins which was 12.5/mile all the while that comment I made to you in the back of my head. It's funny how that works. Anyway, I wanted you to know that your journal entry motivated me! I HATE those darn ticks! I've had so many issues with them on my dogs! One time we had an infestation of them in our daughters room because a pregnant one must have had babies and it was crazy trying to get rid of them! We had to have an exterminator come and spray the house with some strong gas. We had to stay out of the house for some period of time. I'm thinking just for the day. Anyway, now I put the frontline on every MONTH instead of every 3 months because my vet said it only works for fleas up to 3 months but ticks you need to do it monthly. GRRRR!!! I always forget to put it on, then it goes for months again, then I find a tick, and then I remember. Ha! Ha! WOW! A 3 hour body combat-thon!!! YIKES!!! I am NOT going to try to keep up with you on that one!! ;-) Instead I'll be packing and getting ready to leave on vacation in the morning! Keep up the good work!
