HCB's Journal, 05 July 2012

Heat and humidity "forced" me to use exercise DVDs indoors for several days. I am using muscles biking and walking do not touch - so it is hard work! My husband just said I look like I am tighter and getting muscle - LOL, he was looking at my butt when he said it! SO, all those squats might be working! I wouldn't be surprised if I gain a little muscle weight and ultimately can burn more calories in the end.

You can use the humidity to your advantage so you sweat more! Like that Bikram Yoga thing. When I jog outdoors, I layer up to sweat like crazy. Works great. I'm willing to bet money that I'll be back down to 180 or 179 tomorrow. And congrats on the tighter bootay! Woohoo!

It's always a girl's goal to have a nice butt! LOL I use DVD's a lot to do my exercise with the heat in the summer.

I think we have all had trouble with trying to stay energized to workout in the hot weather and humidity. Yesterday, I played with the idea a bit. Mid Afternoon, I just took a long walk (1 hr) around the block during my lunch at work. I wasn't pushing myself or overexerting but instead just walking leisurely. I still managed to break a sweat due to the temperature but I wasn't laying half dead on the side of the road. Later, after 9pm when the sun had went down and lightly cooled the day, I went for a jog/walk with that C25K app I posted to you guys about. Felt good! Maybe try working out later in the day or possibly really early. :D
