Here I go again on the diet and exercise wheel. I've been exercising at the gym with a trainer since February, 2 days a week. It's the plan I could afford. I am trying to cut back or eliminate alcohol Monday thru Thursday but dinners out with Friends mid-week tends to derail me. I don't like having to answer why I'm not drinking; especially as I'd rather have the glass or two of wine.

However, as before, I'm sick of looking how I look so I must start exercising more and being more consistent with my eating. I also have to stop talking about my weight in front of my children as they are now starting to say how they are 'fat' and need to lose weight. I've done them a terrible disservice. I feel ashamed of myself for that because I thought I wasn't talking about it in front of them but they must hear my complaining to my husband about my weight. I know when they ask why I don't have the pasta or potato on my plate like them I explained that as a person gets older there food needs change and I don't need that type of food as much or often as they do since they are still growing. I guess I didn't do a good enough job. So now I'm still fat and they think they are too. That's depressing.

** I have to add that I realize today's food is not a good example of how to eat. I could make excuses but...
