Does anyone else question 605 calories burned for 3 hours of gardening? It was pretty strenuous for this old gal but still . .

I googled "calories burned 1 hour gardening" & that resulted in a fitday.com webpage stating 230 cals per hour. Even more interesting is that webpage has a calculator to enter weight age etc to get an even more specific calorie burn count. Hope this helps!

Was going to say heck yeah, at least, but MillaLite had a better researched answer. 😀 i find gardening to be killer.

i questioned it too when i looked at it.. .. only because i love working in the garden, and i never really thought of burning calories while plowing or planting cabbage lol
