I am feeling better today. My body has been so sore that it has made me very crabby! I think it is the dang pushups, even though i can barely do them on my knees!

I have been doing IF, usually 18/6, having 2 meals and a snack. Yesterday my day got away from me and i had breakfast lunch and dinner in one giant meal - an omelet w/broccoli, red pepper, onion and cheese, rice and black beans and a black bean burger with lettuce, sriracha and guacamole. Then a little yogurt with almonds and a sprinkle of granola for dessert. It was delish! I took a pic but can't figure how to upload it, lol.

I left the kitchen looking like a tornado hit it and took my smarting body to bed. when i got up this am my roommate had cleaned it all up. He is nice like that. :)

Going to try to rock the exercise this week. I am trying to learn to listen to my body, but it is hard to know if i actually need rest or if i am just lazy. 😉

I went in and added some "historical" weight entries, as i started a few months before coming back to fs. I don't know why, but i am pleased my line turned yellow, haha.

You may be trying too much too fast. I think you're suppose to stress your muscles then let them recover. I believe that's what cross training is all about. I'm sure other will have better info. I like your determination. Good luck. 👍

Glad you are feeling better! Keep up the good work. I like to do 16/8 fasting also.

Ty jackiespahr! I guess i have probably been overdoing it. I have gotten soooooo out of shape, it is easy to overdo. I have not done weights for a few days to try to give my bod a rest. also trying to drink a lot of water to chase down the ibuprofen, lol. I just am afraid i will never work out again if i wait until i feel like doing it! Ty ny_shelly! I am finding the fasting to be pretty easy, as i have never really liked breakfast (in the morning - love it for dinner, lol!) and i like to eat big meals. I appreciate the support!

I’m in awe of your loss in that time frame! As another poster mentioned, it’s supposed to be better if you give your muscles a day of rest. Hubby used to train hard in HS and college. He recommends 3 days of weight training (I use 3 lb weights as I’ve been on restrictions for most of the last 20-22 months) alternating with 3 days of cardio and one day of rest. I tend to stick with cardio but if I have to stay inside I use the elliptical and weights at the same time or alternate until I’m so tired I’m ready to drop lol. (15-90 minutes depending on the day!). I’m also horrible about keeping a schedule. If you have a gym membership perhaps someone there could tell you the current recommendations or some based on you personally :).

Ty peeperjj! I have been trying to do alternating days of weights and cardio, with one day off per week but still getting the hang of what is too much. I really appreciate the support everyone!

I use to do the 16/8 without even realizing I was doing it! I'm not a breakfast person either. After the 4 day diet I'm on now(day2) I think I'll get back into that and watch my choices and night snacking better. Thanks for info! Is there a 16/8 group here?
