Non diet related question, I am a Midwestern girl, and my family and I are thinking of relocating to the east coast to be closer to some family that moved out there.. I have a big family with young kids, does anyone have any ideas on good areas on the east coast between Delaware and North Carolina? We were looking in Virginia, but I'm having a hard time figuring out where it's a good and safe area. Any ideas would be very appreciated. Thank you everyone :)

I would suggest vacationing in a few area to get a feel for the area. Big cities=crime so look at rural areas. Do you home school if so look at government programs in the different areas to help assist. What about work, do you need to be near a particular area? We travel in a motohome the one place I would NOT recommended is Conway/Myrtle Beach SC. The crime is out of control, drug and human trafficking is at an all time high. It really depends on your taste, I'm from Massachusetts the area is full of charm and history, and a beautiful Atlantic coastline. Good luck glad your doing your research!

We moved to Mooresville, NC a little over two years ago to be near family. North of Charlotte (about 35miles). Lovely area. Very clean and beautiful. One of the nicest cities I've seen anywhere. Very very safe. Great schools and colleges. Great family area. Good high paying jobs available. Housing is reasonable. Cost of living very good. Medical care excellent. Small town flavor with a lot of amenities available. Short drive to mountains and a few hours to the seashore. No worry of hurricanes. Very mild winters. In beautiful Lake Norman area for boating, swimming and fishing etc. Reasonable access to Charlotte Douglass International Airport. Also Allegient Airlines in area at reasonable cost. Close enough to Charlotte large city museums and other outstanding points of interest and events without living in a huge city. Great quality of life here.
