I have a question, have you been following the exact number of calories thats already calculated for you, or you take less than the one thats given for you ??? Because for me its give 1800 but i always eat less than that

it tells me to eat 2000 cal. per day, but I average 1500. Go where you're comfortable within the guideline, just not too low.

I find it too high on this site for me. Another site gives me 380 calories less per day and this is what I go by. If I exercise since I'm trying to maintain I can eat more.

I average about 1350 a gave me a 1600 limit so some days I eat that high but most I don’t.

I have found that the information provided is a recommended guideline to ensure your getting all the necessary nutrients if you are somewhat actively exercising. In other words, these can be tweaked based upon your goals----and activity levels. If weight loss is a goal- slightly smaller is probably best. Remember when exercising intensity levels you want to ensure your burning more calories than consuming. However, if you are intensely working out - more nutrition is going to be beneficial. The opposite holds true for those seeking to gain weight --again based upon exercise levels and intensity - to gain, eat more dense foods, but still exercise with lower intensities. Sorry to sound preachy ! not my intent. Good luck on your lifestyle changes. ; )

I'm trying to stick to 1800, and loosing weight slowly. Less calories is not always better.

Mine says 1700. I tried 1200-1400 and that worked until I realized I had dropped to 900-1200 most days. I started gaining! Starvation mode I guess. I went back up using the zig zag method and lost a pound within a few days. 1955 was my highest and 1300 my lowest. Throwing in more carbs as I was on a low carb diet without realizing it. Also having those mine candy bars and jerky has helped me not feel deprived and I feel full more now than when I was strictly meat and veggies. I take vitamin D (50k weekly as I’m deficient after chemo), calcium, multivitamin and one for skin hair and nails. I do labs every 3 months, the last one was during this diet and all my numbers were good except Vit D. Labs were when I was eating 1200-1300 on average.

Personally no because it’s not accurate for me, there are no 100% accurate calorie amounts, there are estimates. As long as you get close enough your estimated weekly/daily intake that’s usually good enough, even if you’re off by a couple 100 cals or so

Mine says 1600, I tend to stick to 1200-1300

Never exactly, sometimes when I enter food I do put extra on sometimes, as I always don't record everything, as I do not want to be tied down..Just Do N the best I can

You can adjust the RDI; I lowered mine and I still aim for less than the one I set because if I use it all, I know I won't lose. I generally eat around 1500 calories.

Mine is way too high on the site, I'm 5'1 and at maintenance my calories are at most 1700 without exercise which is what the site gives me. I try to stick to 1200-1400 cal depending on my workout that day. Don't worry about cutting back if you feel it is too much you won't go into "starvation mode", here is a good calculator subtract 500 cal from your TDEE to be at a deficit or a little less if you want to take things slower.
