I think I've turned a corner in my head. I have always been one to watch recipe videos. I learn so many things from them, besides just how to cook the one dish. But lately, as I scroll my Facebook feed and come across all the "Tasty" videos and the like that my friends are posting, I find myself altering them in my head as the ingredients scroll by...

When the video says "Sugar", my internal translator says "Xylitol"
When the video says "Flour", my internal translator adds "Almond" or "Coconut"
Same as above for milk...etc., etc., etc.

If, at the end, I think I can successfully replace the off-limits ingredients with better ones, I'll try the recipe.

I am determined this time to make some life-altering changes that I can live with for the rest of my life and not give up and give in to those bad cravings again. Over my lifetime, I've lost literally hundreds of pounds, yet here I am again, at the very limits of my skin. Prior to this most recent journey, I have been a hard-core carb addict. I didn't even realize how bad it was until I started trying to put together low carb meals. But I'm killing it so far this time!
