The greatest part of raw vegan is the fact that ur dressing is a large part of ur caloric needs. I use this whole cup because whats in it is PART of my salad...not just a COVER for my salad. Raw Greek with sundried tomatoes, mixed greens, and corn 💗🌽🍅🍋

The dressing is 1/2 oz raw cashews, juice of 1/2 lemon, 1 clove garlic, 4-5 dates, and a Tbls oregano. Blend with enough water to consistency you desire 🍋🍋🍋😍

As a vegan, do you eat dandelion greens from your yard, nopales, radish leaves sauteeded with ghee and garbonzo bean flour, or day Lillies— yes, the plant from your yard. Unless you live in the SW you might not have access to nopales. They are the prickly paddles from a cactus. Or, yucca fries with a harissa paste dip. My neighbors are of East Indian ethnicity and grew up in Kenya. She is a registered dietician, a complete vegan and makes the most awesome food. Check it out on Google.

Ghee is not vegan, but, yes to everything else. I have a vast spice collection from all over the world. I love cactus, not super fond of dandilion greens, but I've eaten them many times. I forage for mushrooms (morel, sulphur shelf, lions main, black trumpets, and chantrels) and wild ramps, nettles, apios americana (groundnuts-similar to a potato), dock, amrynth, acorns (leaching and making flour from them) and other assorted plants.

Vickiaunick— that is so awesome. Where do you live that you can do that? I will be right over! I want to go with you to look for these things.

Well I just moved back to Indiana in October. Its now mushroom season here this week. (Have yet to find any mushrooms or ramps yet 😒) My normal foraging area was southern Ohio before that.

A young-er friend of mine just moved to Akron. she really likes it. Cold and snowy. Since she has been there.
