So the doc told me I'm obese today... Considering she isn't that kind of doc in the first place I was not expecting such news. I don't look obese... never was told that before but apparently I should be 125 ish... Sad thing is, I was 125 most of my teen life until I turned 17, and to stay so small all I used to eat were apples, toast, occasional salads and water... That was no fun. SO... Back to it I suppose. I walk about 4.6 miles a day and have only gained more weight. Not sure what to think about all this.

AT 168 lb. you are not obese unless you are like 4 feet tall! LOL. You can calculate your body mass index and get an idea where you stand. Height and age can make a difference. Could you drop a few? Sure, but do not beat yourself up. Calculate BMI here: www.bmi-calculator.net/

Hope you feel better!! My last doctors visit I was 172 and I am only 5 feet tall..and he told me that I should lose some weight..but did not call me obese....U can do it..try to find what works for you...obviously apples and water is not a very exciting diet..and u could never just eat that forever!! Kick start your metabolism with exercise....I am 44 and my metabolism has definitely gotten worse and I have to do serious exercise everyday!! I try to stay positive! Trust in yourself and this site has really helped me and I have only been on it for about a week or so!! good luck!!
