Pushing to eat more calories due to metabolic stall so last five days eating over 90% of RDI of 1200. Today made 100%. I am amazed how hard this has been for me! Appetite is low, and I always want to have at least a 2000 net calories after my exercise but today I had to let go of my stubborn way. I walked my 2.6 miles and wanted to go further to make it to my usual 2000 net calories but it was getting late, the mosquitoes were hellatious and my husband said, "You are done - I am taking you home to eat now. Quit being so stubborn!" Of course I could have walked another 1.3 mile lap around the park anyway...but I guess he was right. I just want so very much to lose the weight that I push myself. I figure if I am eating more, I need to exercise more, too. Humpf, go figure!

You've got motivation in spades! Good job getting up to 1200 cals. On low days, I drink wine, have dessert or bread and peanut butter.

I think we all would just like to wake up one morning and have all of the fat disappear. I waited many many years for it to spontanously go but it never happenned. You have done so well so far you must see and feel the difference. Usually when you lose the weight fast it comes back even faster. Would you rather do this slow and permanent or fast and possible temporary?

Of course you both are right! It isn't so much about how fast it comes off but rather the idea that IF I work hard, then of course I SHOULD have a loss, right???? LOL! I better understand now how my body will do as it wishes in its own time no matter what my mind wants it to do!
