Body Bliss's Journal, 21 June 2012

Good morning Wednesday :)

Today is the second day of summer, and the second day of NO classes. NADA - no more marking and report cards - Yea!! Feels amazing. Gift of time!! Today there is the packing of the classroom and my resume to do. Every teacher along our hallway is doing the same. The school district ruled to downsize, so the adult English classes in our Continuing Education program have been slashed and all but the online staff has been surplused. Thankfully am on Continuing contract, so will get paid regardless, just do not know what and where I will be teaching next September.

Did manage to apply for a job posting this week. Would be incredibly nice to teach at this other high school as the student population is very high achieving there - fellow workaholics lol. Trust that the Lord will place me where He needs me. To be continued...

Did great with breakfast today lol. Expect to continue on track with my meals. CRAVING success. Expect to be working on the North Shore a long time, then take my youngest for a haircut and get home late. Ready to conquer temptations and deny them. They WILL go away if I don't give in. As well, have my gym bag in the car and hope to get in 30 mins on the elliptical at the local gym out there.

Hope you get everything accomplished and still find time to drag that gym bag out. Great that you keep it in the car. You just never know when the opportunity will arise. YEA for SCHOOLS OUT FOR SUMMER!! You must feel great knowing that you will be able to breath, relax and do some of the things that are so hard to find time for. I hope you have a great evening!! Hugs!! I am also struggling to keep track of my food and stay on track with my calories. It seems like a big job to start recording this all again after not recording for so long, but Ashley signed up just for the food journal part and we are entering together. A little mother daughter bonding that is really fun.

What a great sense of freedom you must be feeling. I have this beautiful picture of where you live and the brisk refreshing morning air. Living in the desert .... I miss the trees and lakes of the Midwest. I don't miss the mosquitoes or the snow. Enjoy this time my friend. Breath in the gifts that God has given you. Breath out the anixety the world attempts to put on you.

Cathy: So true about the effort in the beginning. Seems that when food tracking goes well, exercise follows and vice versa. The body gets emptier and we get lighter of being? Thanks for the big cheer lol. Glen: Yes,lol, a kind of Nirvana.;-) Just really good to shut the brain off for a while. Sometimes teaching can be too much decision-making overload with emotional involvement(!). Really like your mantra.:) Reminds me of this one: "Focus on your breath or your steps.
