ProjectDropHoodie's Journal, 19 June 2012

I think I need to put some serious thought into this "do something special for yourself". Overall, I have made 4-5 mini goals to give me check point so I don't get bored or discouraged. I have successfully past one but still have no clue what to do for myself because treating myself with food is just out of the question. Shopping is a no no for right now because I'd rather be smaller before I try to get into any new clothes. Shopping sucks when you are overweight. Definitely need to put some more thought into it.

On a side note, almost under 190!

My best rewards for myself have been a pedicure and a massage. It is really hard to make the switch from food rewards to thing/experience rewards! Or treat yourself to something that will only fuel your progress more. My most recent items have been a new yoga mat, a mattress topper (sleeping better means feeling better all day) and a super bright neon sports bra from Target that makes me excited to work out because I just want to wear it! Just my suggestions. Some other great options are kitchen items that will help you cook healthily like a steamer or juicer? Once you can see past the food and clothes rewards the possibilities are endless!! Great job so far and keep on trucking!

Other ideas are, instead of clothes, a nice pair of shoes or a purse. This way, even though you're not yet in a new wardrobe, you can up your current wardrobe with new accessories! You could also try a new hairstyle or, if you don't have one already, a tanning package. The tanning package was my most recent reward for meeting my mini-goal and I'm loving it! With two small kids, the half hour at the tanning bed is such a treat!! It's also nice to get some color on this getting-smaller body, lol!

These are really good ideas , I might have to use these as well. I want to take a cruise once I get to my goal weight so this will be my treat for my overall goal weight. Other suggestions are treat yourself to a movie , or a date night with just you and the other half if you don't do this already. Take a small trip , relax in a hotel or spa for just some you time. These are just some suggestions.
