Peasy3's Journal, 23 March 2018

Quick post, I have a lot to do today. I'm maintaining perfectly a pound above goal weight, lol. I felt like I needed more fiber in my life, so I added chia seeds to my diet and had a wheat bagel yesterday. Feeling a bit crampy this morning, so it may have been too much.

I didn't get in a workout yesterday because I spent the evening talking with my Mother in Law. She has breast cancer and is in surgery right now. She needed an ear and a prayer. Her husband is blind and her daughter is fully disabled. I am going to get a quick workout in, prepare a couple of meals and head over to take care of her and the family. We could use any thoughts and prayers you can send out please. Praying that it didn't spread into the lymph node. My husband is a mess. I watched my Mother die of cancer, so I know how he is feeling and am just re-assuring him that this is way different and she will be ok. They caught it early, thank goodness. F cancer.

Hold your loved ones tight. I hope you all have a beautiful day.

probably the chia... they digest funny and can cause some tummy issues if your body isn't used to them. a little goes a long way !

Love chia, been eating them for 3-4 years. I use a coffee grinder then mix the powder in my milk and pour it over Kashi cereal. Nevertheless, please be careful how quickly you increase your fiber. About 4-5 years ago I went hog-wild and paid dearly for it for months. It had the opposite effect on me. No matter how much I drank (it was a lot) it didn't make any difference. Take care.

My thoughts go out to you and your family. Cancer effects everyone, not just the person who has been diagnosed. The best you can do (and you know that already) is just to be there.

Thank you so much for all of your lovely thoughts and prayers. The surgery went well, we won't know more about what all they found until they run some tests. We will get more information in about a week. She was in good spirits though and actually walking around the same day. Not much sleep going on around here but grateful for health and family. You all are so very sweet!
