Kaya Warren's Journal, 23 March 2018

I am sufficiently convinced that all "Registered Dietitians" are pushy assholes. Oh I didn't have an appointment with one today or anything, but I have in the past. Today, though, I was answering the phone at work, and an RD called our company looking for nutrition information for our products. I asked her if she had an account, and she said, "no, I don't I'm a registered dietitian..." and did her whole speech again as though I must not have heard her the first time. I told her that I'm not allowed to give pricing or other information to people who don't have an account with us, and she replied, "well, I'm a registered dietitian and I work for ********* ********* Medical Center, and I need nutrition information...", but this time she said it like she thought maybe I was simple, and I was irritating her. I transferred her to our meat specialist, but I know damn well he's not going to give her anything.

Basically, it doesn't matter who you are, or what you do, if you don't have an account with us, Customer Service isn't allowed to do anything with you except transfer you to someone with more authority. I'm hoping that if I can write this down now and get it out of my system, I can move on and go back to having a good day. I was fine until this happened, and now I'm ready to snap. Ugh.
