ctlss's Journal, 16 June 2012


It is a bright, bright sunshiny day out there...it is going to be in the mid 90's today, so I am thinking that a dip in the pool is in my VERY near future. I have to do a bit more mowing this morning, work some more on the garage, and water the garden. I also need to fix the lights out by the pool, but that won't take long. Not sure what else is on the agenda...maybe power wash the driveway. I got all the trimming done yesterday. Took me about 2 1/2 hours, then ran errands (darned errands seem to take up every afternoon these days), then came home, took the trash to the top of the hill, walked, came back and weeded the garden, and grilled some pork chops and hamburgers for dinner. Spent the rest of the evening out by the pool, listening to the ball game. Cardinals lost to Kansas City, but that's ok, they'll win today.

I need to weigh in, but think I'll wait until Monday. I would like to get back to a Monday weigh in schedule. I have been peeking at the scale and it hasn't moved, but hoping with all the exercise I have been getting that it will...and soon! I feel thinner, so I am sure that the numbers will follow. Food yesterday was good. Stayed within my limits. I didn't eat any fruit yesterday, but I will today. I made sure to drink plenty of fluids (water mostly, and some unsweetened tea), so stayed hydrated, which is better than I have been doing. I find that I get busy and forget to drink anything, then all of a sudden, I am parched and feeling the effects of lack of fluids.

I am so tired... just reading all that you do during the day! LOL! Not really but that is great! I just ordered a FitBit. I think this little device has motivated several of you into moving more everyday and I need the motivation. It's too easy to just sit here in the cool. LOL! I have to keep moving and I have so much to catch up on now that I am not working. My yardwork is way behind. I am getting caught up finally with the housework. I like Sunday morning and Monday morning weigh ins. I am due to weigh in today but think I will wait another day. I feel all bloated. Ate badly late last night and feel out of whack. Hubby has been home recovering from cataract surgery, so it's hard to stick with routine. He just doesn't care what he eats (as far as carbs.) Have a great weekend!

Agreed...errands are the worst!! Hope you get to look at all that nice trimming from poolside, must feel so good!! Extra proud of you;-) Hope those Cardinals behave themselves today lol. Good job exercising and wetting your whistle. Enjoy your lovely grounds!!

Stef, what a bundle of energy you are! I used to be like that. With all the things you are doing the scale should be moving down soon. Have a great day and enjoy a dip in the pool once in a while. :)

Sandy, my butt and legs are so sore from pushing the weed trimmer...I have a big Swisher walk behind, as I have 3 acres to trim. It is some good exercise though, let me tell ya!! lol I hate when I get behind, it just takes so long to get caught up again, so I know how you feel! Hope hubby is recuperating well. Maria, I don't mind them...but just wish I could have a day or two where I was done! lol Cardinals are hot and cold this year...hoping that with the hot weather they get hot as well! Have a great Saturday, Maria!

Running errands is my life now Stef and you know I like it too. Gets me out and about and around people. Sorry about your team losing. Coincidental what you said about weighing in. I have Saturday as my weigh in day too and I have decided the same thing. Hopefully we'll both be happy. Me..I'm not too sure. Been looking at the food calorie list lately and see how that Sangria and Margarita's are killing me. I used to always think about those things. I've been really lax lately. Time for me to shape up. Happy Saturday. Enjoy the weather and make time for that dip in the pool.

Cathy, Jose Cuervo makes a zero carb margarita mix!!! Only thing we use now, so the only calories come from the tequila. YAYYYY!! I intend to get in the pool this afternoon. Have a great Saturday with your love! HUGS!

Thanks for the info. Actually I found a crystal light margarita flavored packets and they are good as well. Am doing well so far today. Enjoy the pool. That's where I'm going now until church at 7.

Stef, I sure know how those errands can end up taking an entire half-day just getting everything done! Glad to read Mr. B seems to be on the mend. Enjoy your pool while you've got great pool-weather!

Hope you got some pool time in, as well as all that work. You should be a skinny thing with all the work you do but I think its your heart that keeps your weight steady, its as big as all out doors and must weigh a ton! Hugs.
