I've been stress eating and not really paying attention to what I'm eating. how can I break this cycle and stop letting outside things effect my eating? I didn't do to much damage this time but if I keep going like this I'm going to end up back where I started.

When I started my weight loss in January I stopped doing this. I was a stress eater as well. I've noticed this past few weeks I've started doing this again. I'm not sure what's going on. I don't have any advice on how to stop it but I do want to say that you shouldn't beat yourself up over doing it because that makes it worse. At least it does for me. If I think about when I ate something I shouldn't, I do it even more because I'm upset with myself. Find other ways to relieve your stress. I think something I might start doing is if I want to eat something I'm not supposed to I have to do a certain amount of exercises for like pushups or jumping jacks or something. I can't eat it until I do my exercises first.

Besides eating...two things that help me with stress are taking a walk, and oddly enough showering. Taking a walk is the best. Aside from exercise, it allows you time to work things out in your head.
