im doing 1200 calories a day and i've lost around 25 lbs since Late January. But 1200 is really way to low for me.
But I only did 1200 because My wife did. im counting calories to support her mostly, not to lose weight. Ill go up to 1500 - 1800 soon, which is still lowering than the million calories I use to take in lol!
