Had a very busy weekend. We took a trip Saturday morning to Mount Airy bikes to look into purchasing a recumbent bike for my oldest son. He is on the Autism spectrum and never got the hang of balancing on a two wheeler, even after working with an OT. Lately he has really been getting into using the stationary recumbent bike in his weight training class at school, and he wants to join the rest of the family in bike rides, woo hoo!! Recumbents are pricey, good bye tax refund, but I'll do anything to entice him away from screen time. So we found the perfect bike for him and even though it was flurrying outside the boys took some laps around the block when we got home. I was so excited to see my two sons finally able to ride together on their bikes. Then Saturday evening we were Mom's taxi service for our boys and their down county friends, running them up to hang with their up-county buddy. Back home my hubby and I did some spring cleaning in anticipation of the youth group coming over to our house on Sunday evening. Then Sunday morning, church and then a bike ride along the park, the weather was lovely a sunny 55 degrees. Then back home to prep family dinner for my parents and my sister's family. We ate midday meal and played board games then my family left and we quickly move chairs around and ordered pizza for the youth group. It was nice hosting, these teens are very engaged in what is going on around them and what is going on politically. We discovered that my oldest son will be the only one old enough to vote in the next elections. I assured him that he will get to register to vote when he takes his driver's test at the end of April. Such a busy and fulfilling weekend. I'm physically exhausted, but my spirits are high.
