So... I keep telling myself to get back on this wagon and for some reason my body is refusing. I tell myself not to eat something or to drink more water or go for a walk.. and it never happens. I've never had this happen to me before. I guess I haven't fully made the decision to start doing this again. And meanwhile my weight is climbing and climbing and climbing. I know why its getting higher but for some reason it feels like I have no self control. Like I get an idea in my head for a milkshake and before I realize it I have the darned thing in my hand. I have to take this one decision at a time and quit looking at the bigger picture. I think that is what is deterring me.

When I think about getting back on this wagon I think of getting back into the gym the same about of time I was, I think about eating better, I think of buying better groceries, I think of cooking all my own food and it seems daunting.

But I know I can do this. I already did it. One step at a time.

Yes, looking at the whole picture is definitely the problem. I had lost so much weight on my own low carb plan, then I had a 10 week period of high stress where I put it all back on. After the stress was over I couldn't get myself to even think about going back to what worked before. In those cases, you either have to fully dive in - commit and get it over with. Or, you take it one toe at a time. So...you have 10 toes, so what are 10 things you can do about your situation over the next 10 days. Do one thing at a time. Ex. Day 1: Start switching all beverages to water. Day 2: Pack your lunch and snacks. Day 3: Take a lap around the block at lunch time (no excuses if you wore heels...do it barefooted). Day 4:...

That is some really great advice. I am trying to take it one day at a time and I'm not up to 10 things in 10 days but I'm definitely working on 10 things :). Thanks so much for your advice!

I know what you mean...I'm recommitting myself to this whole healthy lifestyle thing and it's hard. But we can do it. Like you said, you've done it before you can do it again. Best of luck to you!!!
