Sharons Victory's Journal, 18 March 2018

i ate pie last night and some chips. i never cheat but always hear people at work that are losing more than me saying they cheat here and there....decided to just let myself. honestly it wasn't really that good or worth it...i don't know why people want to cheat. This morning i only gained 3lbs water weight from eating carbs...impressive. usually I'd gain more. I also feel very thoughtful this morning....I've never weighed under 200lbs that i can ever remember...isn't that crazy??? and now I'm only 36lbs away from it....how come i can't wrap my mind around actually being there someday? how come out feels so unreal and impossible? maybe i will be there someday....

You can do it Sharon because you have done it before. As far as people losing more and cheating more I would want proof, visual proof! It made me think of the story of the turtle and the rabbit and we know that the turtle won the race! Best wishes!

A better way to go about it, other than having a typical “cheat day” which for the majority of people means “eat anything and don’t track calories” 🙄 which will cause them to be like “why did I gain weight this week?” If they overdo it... The smarter way is to track things as best as you can, have whatever/however much you want, but the key step is incorporate those calories into your week. That way you get to eat the foods you want while still losing weight by the end of the week.

I didn't go to town all day...i had two pieces of pie and some chips and that was it. Back on track today. It was my first st patricks day not drinking and i think i just told myself eat pie instead of missing the drinks lol.

Pie is always the better option. Regardless of what the other options are. The option is always pie! 🥧 🙌🏻

"How come I cant wrap my mind around actually being there someday?" Excellent question. Here's one I'll ask you: what do you want, what do you seriously and deeply want? It's a very difficult question to answer. Almost nothing is impossible if we know what we want and are willing to work towards it (and if we aren't willing to work towards it then we don't really want it). Make sure you keep your exercise up! Looking forward to hearing good things from you in the future!

My favorite is Frozen Yogurt but pie is great, too and definitely better than alcohol. Good job; you will lose that fluid weight quickly.

Changing your mental image of yourself takes time and focused visualization. Envision how you want to look, maybe in a new outfit; and the number you want on the scale. Fix these pictures in your mind. The dissonance between your vision, and what you see in the mirror, will increase your will power.

Yasso frozen Greek yogurt bars are only 100 calories and the cookies and cream flavor is satisfying

ONE bite. if it is not as good as I thought it would be I throw out the rest. If I am going to commit to the cheat it better be a darned good one.

I can relate, Sharons Victory! You just keep on keepin' on! I'm 5'8.75", 64 years old, 219.5 pounds currently. When I was 19, I had another .75 inches of height, weighed 145 pounds, and thought I was fat! When I began gaining lots of weight in my early 30s, I ignored the mirror and wore elastic-waisted pants and skirts, so I was unaware of my appearance. At about 185 pounds, I saw a picture of myself sitting on a picnic bench in shorts, shirt tucked in, and was stunned by my huge hips. At 235 pounds, I caught sight of myself in a store window and was absolutely horrified. I finally stopped gaining at 285 pounds. I lost 50 pounds and then stagnated for seven years before joining FS last July (for the 3rd time). I haven't been under 200 pounds since age 34, so I can't remember what it feels like to be that size body. And I'm not as fit as I was in my teens, of course, so my body is softer overall. My goal right now is meeting that 199.5-pound threshold. {I had set a goal of 172 pounds --"normal BMI" -- but that felt too "far away." Once I get to 199.5, I'll readjust my goal.)

Sorry to hear of your rough day. We all get them from time to time. If anyone tells you they are all sunshine, rainbows, and unicorns while dieting, working out, or changing oneself for a healthier lifestyle-- their lying. You need to not beat yourself up so much. Get back on the horse and keep trying. I think you should really listen to your own body , and work on your mindset. There are way to many persons in the world which try to derail or sabotage a persons effort. It is up to you to keep your eye on the price and tell yourself that you are not going to fail at your overall goal(s). Stop, think, plan, assess, and achieve. You can do this..... don't give in to the urges and think of alternative solutions (recipe/item) etc.

Lol, I do the same as rebeccaberg. And if it is bad I would spit it out & save my calories for another day😂
