TJSloan's Journal, 16 March 2018

So, Lark decided to go capput on me the other day. I got on the scales this morning to check my weight, then went to view it in the app, and all my weight history is gone. Meal History is gone. Exercise history is semi there. And of course, sleep history is semi there. I put in a ticket to see what they say. If they can't fix this and they continue to bill my insurance, I will tell my insurance to stop paying them. I downloaded the myfitnesspal app, I was going to do fatsecret, but Trend, my virus protection doesn't like fatsecret, says it's high risk. So, I will continue to use fatsecret via the internet and use other things via mobile.

My blood sugar was 137 this morning, I'm sure that had everything to do with the bowl of honey nut cheerios I ate when I got home from class as well as the starbursts I ate throughout Algebra class last night. I have to do better with making better choices. Such as, not doing various weight loss challenges that I find here on fatsecret, without doing research on it first. I did read somewhere about a 14 day Hard boiled egg weight loss plan, but your primary food is the hard boiled egg, a little bit of fruit, a salad and once or twice a week some chicken. Not very healthy, however, I do love hard boiled eggs, so I could incorporate 2 boiled eggs for breakfast, throw in some benefiber water drink, some crystalite water drinks, and a healthy dinner after work, and perhaps 2 hard boiled eggs for lunch. Of course, if I add aloe juice to the water as well, that will also help to clean out the digestive track and help to replace the healthy bacteria in the intestines.

I promise, I'm not looking for a loose weight quick deal, I'm just looking for something I can sustain on a long term basis that I can switch back and forth between so I'm less likely to get bored and tired of it. That's my biggest deal, I don't see results fast enough and I get bored and tired. And yes, I know, I didn't get fat over night, so I'm not going to get skinny over night, but it was a lot easier and much more fun to get fat lol!

Myfitnesspal is highly inaccurate, when it comes to calculating macros. Fatsecret is correct. Use FS

I don't even know what that means, macros. I enter in both programs, to be honest. And both fatsecret and myfitnesspal is more accurate than lark, because in lark, they just want to know what you've eaten, not how much.

Macros= macronutrients Which consist of the main 3. Protein. Fat. Carbohydrates. I’ll give you an example. When you add foods in Fatsecret l, and let’s say it’s a protein bars and a piece of fruit let’s say the fruit is F:0 C:20 P:2, let’s say the bar is F:10 C:30 P:20(random example) and the total macros of the foods equal fat:10 carbs: 50 protein: 22 which is correct they all added up right. However in myfitnesspal you put the same foods. And it’ll give you something like F:7 C:45 P:19 It doesn’t add the proper numbers up, and calories are completely off. The app is basically setting people up for continuous problems. This is the exact problem I dealt with for a long time with MFP, which unfortunately took me a few months to realize the foods I was adding and what calories I thought I was consuming were way off... for example at one point I was having 1400 calories daily in MFP, but the reality was, after I added everything up correctly and manually, it was off around 60-80 calories each day! Which at the end of the week, turned out to be an extra like 400-500 calories. I found out very quickly after gaining weight when I wanted to lose it, something was wrong. Not to mention there’s literally 1000s of people who out there own foods in there which gives over 400 choices that are all different... point is, use Fatsecret. 👍🏻

Do you have the fatsecret mobile app? If so, is it safe? Well as safe as any app can be, that is. Trend, my virus protection, doesn't like it and it has done an absolutely amazing job of protecting all my computers and phones for years, when every other protector I ever tried kept letting things through.
